Gazprom, Gaz de France sign an agreement

Rem Vyakhirev, chairman of the board of governors in the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, and the CEO of Gaz de France on Tuesday signed an agreement that provides for building a gas pipeline across Poland, Slovakia and Belarus for pumping Russian gas into Europe, The Russia journal writes. The signing of the document marks the 25th anniversary of cooperation between the two companies, a Gazprom official told a Russian news agency Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Russian press earlier in the day that the agreement is one billion to two billion dollars worth.
