Two Tajik citizens are detained with 21 sacks of raw opium

Russian border guards detained two Tajik citizens last night when they tried to sneak across the border with 21 sacks of raw opium. As the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan informed RBC, the sacks with about a ton of the narcotic were hidden under hay in a truck bed. This is the largest consignment of raw opium detained on the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan this year, RosBusinessConsulting reports. Now the drugs are to be burnt down in the presence of Russian frontier guards and representatives of Tajikistan's law-enforcement agencies.
