The Russian State Council will think out a new national anthem

The project of a new national anthem will be considered by the State Council of Russia, said Vladimir Yakovlev, the mayor of St-Petersburg. There are a lot of projects. One of them is to write a new text for the music, composed by Glinka and serving as an anthem now. But the melody of this anthem is to complicated. The other project is to use the melody of the Soviet anthem. In this case the author of the text of the Soviet anthem Sergey Mikhalkov will have to write a new text, “Echo Moskvi” reports.
