Alexiy II calls for Jews and Arabs to peace

Patriarch of Moscow and Russia Alexiy II called for Jewish and Arabian population of the Holy Land to “peace and dialog”. Alexiy II stressed that in conformity with tradition, Russian Orthodox Church “and Russian nation back up the Arabian people of Palestine striving for statehood.” Alexiy II considers that “Jerusalem should become a capital of two countries: Arabian and Jewish.” “The holy places should remain available for pilgrims” – underlines the head of Russian Orthodox Church.
