“BRIGADE GENERAL” CAPTURED AT NIGHT IN URUS-MARTAN WEARING JUST UNDERPANTS

The nearest comrade-in-arms of Aslan Maskhadov, so called “brigade general” Mumadi Saidayev, has been captured and is already giving evidence, the commander-in-chief of Russia‘s troups in Chechnya, leutenant-general Valeri Baranov, is reported as saying. In his words, “Saidiyev was detained wearing nothing but underpants in Urus-Martan by secret service agents, and the whole operation lasted a few minutes. He had arrived there just to spend a night, and his guard did not have enough time to react”. Starting from the second Chechen war, Saidiyev has been chief of staff of the rebels’ military units (Interfax).
