VERDICT TO COMMUNISM PRONOUNCED

The Vilnius International Tribunal declared on Wednesday all communist parties “criminal and repressive organizations”. The hearing lasted six hours after which the conclusion was announced that communist regimes had “perpetrated aggression, war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity, resulting in death of tens of millions of people”. The communist ideology was assessed as “nonhumanistic, presenting a threat and having caused more damage than Nazi ideology”; the communist doctrine was defined as “subject to ban in all the states”. The verdict is not legally valid, therefore the tribunal called on the world community to ‘create investigative institutions and special courts to deal with persons found guilty in connection with the crimes committed by communist regimes, adopt laws declaring communist organization outlawed, condemning the communist doctrine and blocking the ways of its recurrence” (Interfax).
