Commonwealth of Independent State to discuss their security

The prospects of the military and technical cooperation between the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be discussed on February 27 in St.Petersburg at the regular session of the council of CIS defense ministers. Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov will preside over the session. In spite of the defense ministers, the session will be participated by the top administrative boards of CIS, like the representatives of the Collective Security Council, other structures of the Commonwealth. Eight questions are going to be put on the agenda of the discussion – about the establishment and the funding for the regional systems of the national security, as well as about setting up the joint legal base. The participants of the session will also consider the prospects for informatization and the introduction of the electronic databases. The agreement on the information exchange is going to be signed according to the results of the session.
