Russia Showcases Su-35 Fighter At Seoul Airshow 2001

The Su-35 fighter plane is Russia's exhibit at the on-going 3rd international Seoul Airshow 2001, said a source in the Russian government apparatus on Tuesday. It stressed that this Russian jet fighter stands a good chance to be conspicuous as the best warplane among its like. "Interest in this airshow was heightened by the fact that the South Korean authorities hope to pick out the best fighter plane after a demonstration. They are ready to sign a 3.1 billion-dollar contract for getting a supply of forty such jet planes before 2004", said the governmental source. According to it, in performance the Su-35 is better than the best American and Western European machines -- French Rafal, Typhoon of the Eurofighter concern, American fighter F-15E of the Boeing. 175 companies from 16 countries have showcased their specimens at the Seoul airshow. Over 50 of them perform demonstration flights.
