Imf Chief Believes Russia Has Gone A Long Way In Conduct Of Economic Reforms

Russia has gone a long way in the conduct of economic reforms especially in the last two years, said International Monetary Fund Managing Director Horst Koehler to the Russian NTV television channel on Thursday. Earlier in the day he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. In the IMF estimate, on results of this year Russia's economic growth will be among the highest in the world, said Koehler. As regards Russia's fulfilling its commitments before the Fund, Horst Koehler stressed that Russia is a good borrower and its relations with the IMF have reached a qualitatively new level.
