Russia's stand on NATO's expansion remains unchanged, said the Russian head of state at a news conference in Brussels after his meeting with the NATO leadership. Vladimir Putin expressed conviction that if NATO expands and the organisation admits new members, no one will feel more secure following the tragic events that happened in the US on September 11. The Russian president also urged "eliminating the destructive character of Russia-NATO relations".
