Chechen rebels have been and are being trained in the camps of international terrorist number one Osama bin Laden. Presidential aide Sergei Yastrzhembsky has said that Arbi Barayev sent the latest group of Chechen rebels last spring for subversive training. Speaking Tuesday at a press conference in the Media Centre of the Izvestiya newspaper, the presidential aide noted that Russia had disposed of information about bin Laden's involvement with Chechen separatists last year. In particular, groups of Chechen rebels were trained in the Afghan camps of Osama bin Laden. The training camps for Chechen rebels are chiefly situated near Kabul, Kandagar and some other regions of Afghanistan. Yastrzhembsky added that bin Laden had personally provided for Chechen rebels' training.
