Andrei Belyaninov, general director of the Rosoboronexport State Company, and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov signed a general agreement on cooperation between the company and the Moscow government today. Rosoboronexport reports that this document defines the main spheres of cooperation between the parties during international and interregional economic contacts intended to promote products of defense companies of Moscow to the world market. Thus, the agreement provides for better coordination of the parties' efforts to gain foreign orders for research and design work, to place them with companies of the city, to give these companies assistance in designing and manufacturing of competitive products, implementation of innovative projects, organization of promotional actions, and other specific spheres and forms of cooperation.
