Vladimir Putin Signs Decree On Setting Up Financial Monitoring Committee

Russian president Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on creation of a financial monitoring committee. According to deputy prime minister and finance minister Alexei Kudrin, the committee will be established under Russia's finance ministry. He also said the new committee will perform all functions written in the recently adopted law on fighting money laundering. First deputy finance minister Viktor Zubkov will head the financial monitoring committee.
