Russian Government To Announce Proposals On Stabilisation Of Oil Prices

Next week, the Russian government will announce its proposals on how to stabilise oil prices, said Russian Energy Minister Igor Yusufov. According to Mr. Yusufov, the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is ready to make a decision on dropping the quotas on oil extraction to prevent a further decline in oil prices. Mr. Yusufov also mentioned that Russia would not be present at the next session of the OPEC on November 14, as it would be an extraordinary session, and, according to the rules, only the OPEC member-states can participate in it.
