President Of Byelorussia And Lukoil Head Discuss Cooperation Prospects

Byelorussian President Alexander Lukashenko and Vagit Alekperov, head of Russia's LUKOIL petroleum company, on Thursday discussed cooperation prospects between the oil company and Byelorussia's petrochemical enterprises, as well as agreed plans for further projects. LUKOIL's possible participation in the share capital of some Byelorussian petrochemical operations was also taken up. In particular, LUKOIL proposed to the Byelorussian side that it should consider establishing a consortium on the basis of these enterprises with Russian oil and gas companies, it was noted at press-service. In the course of the meeting, Lukashenko and Alekperov expressed satisfaction with existing relations between the Republic of Belarus and LUKOIL.
