State Duma Passes Amendments To 2001 Federal Budget Draft On 2nd Reading

The State Duma of the Russian Federation passed amendments to the 2001 federal budget draft on the second reading. According to them, additional revenues of the budget worth 28.677bn rubles (about $959m) will be spent on servicing the state foreign debt of Russia in accordance with the schedule. 45.5% of other extra-revenues will go for debt repayment, and 54.6% - for financing non-interest budget expenditures. 294 deputies voted for the amendments with one against it and no abstentions.
