AvtoVAZ To Drop Its Production In 2002

The major Russian car manufacturer AvtoVAZ will stop its production for the New Year and Christmas holidays. And in January 2002, the volume of production will be dropped by 25%, which may lead to unusual situation on the automobile market, the press service of the company reported to RosBusinessConsulting. It is worth mentioning that 71,700 cars were produced in October, 2001. This year's volume of production of AvtoVAZ was estimated as equal to 760,000 cars.
