International Association Of Twin-cities To Sum Up Results At Moscow Session

A final session of the board of the International Association of Twin-Cities will be held in Moscow Friday, December 14. The session will be attended by Moscow region governor Boris Gromov, who heads the Association. The session will sum up the results of the Association's activities in 2001 and determine major functions for 2002. Specifically, the session will consider the development of the twin-city movement within the CIS and its contribution in strengthening integration. The participants in the session will discuss prospects of developing partnership relations with similar organisations of non-CIS countries. Contacts with the Association of Twin-Cities of the USA have been given a powerful impetus of late. Russian cities have over 100 partners in the USA.
