The State Duma passed the bill 'On Electronic Signature' on the third reading today. This bill gives regulations for the usage of e-signatures in legal deals and other uses. The e-signature will have all traditional functions of a traditional signature, such as the identification of the signee, his authority and the content of the signed document. The bill provides for legal conditions for the usage of e-signatures. 367 Duma deputies voted for this bill and no one was against with 2 abstentions.
