Vladimir Zhirinovsky Re-elected Ldpr Leader

Vladimir Zhirinovsky has been re-elected chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. Zhirinovsky won the votes of 198 out of 221 delegates at the party's 13th congress, underway in Moscow. Other candidates included Yelena Afanasyeva, coordinator of the LDPR's Orenburg Region organisation, and LDPR deputy chairman Alexei Mitrofanov. The congress has elected the party's 12-member Supreme Council and three-member Central Auditing Commission.
