Government To Consider Amendments To Railroad Reforms In January 2002

The Russian government will consider amendments to the bill on reforms of the Railroad Ministry in January 2002, deputy railroad minister Alexander Misharin announced after today's meeting of the Cabinet. He noted that members of the Cabinet have practically agreed on changes to the bill today. These amendments provide, in particular, for changes in the bills on the railroad transport, on natural monopoles and the railroad charter. The final discussion of amendments before their official approval will be held on December 27.
