Euro Not To Become Russia's Main Monetary Unit For Accounts

Known Russian economist, member of Russian parliament's expert council on bank activity and exchange markets Alexander Khandruyev thinks it inexpedient to drastically change the proportion of USD and euro in the structure of Russia's gold and currency reserves. The share taken by euro in the country's gold and currency reserves depends on how dynamically the structure of Russian exports, predominantly consisting of raw materials, will be changing. As of now, the expert said, for Russia it is more economical to pay in USD than in euro.
