Russia Will Not Need Loan From Imf In 2002

Russia will not need any credit from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2002. Alexei Kudrin, the Vice-Premier and Finance Minister, expressed this opinion to journalists on Monday. Russia has "sufficient funds of its own to administer the budget in full" the Vice-Premier stressed. The Head of the Finance Ministry was taking part in the 2nd conference for the association of official control and audit. Following the opening of the conference the Vice-Premier attended a meeting with Gerard Belanger the head of the IMF mission who is now in Moscow. Kudrin stated that the current visit to Moscow of the IMF mission was connected with the Russian economy's annual appraisal.
