Statistics Committee posts GDP data

The GDP increased 4.3 percent to more than 10.863 trillion rubles (about $346bn) in Russia in February 2003 compared to February 2002, a report of the Russian State Statistics Committee says. In particular, the volume of industrial production amounted to 625bn rubles (about $19.92), 6.5 percent more than in the corresponding month last year. Capital investments totaled 110.3bn rubles (about $3.52bn) last month, which was 10.9 percent more than in February 2002.
