Russia wants to continue cooperation with Iraqi oil companies

In the event of a war in Iraq, Russia will try to continue cooperation between Russian and Iraqi oil and gas companies, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told journalists today. He pointed out that agreements on economic cooperation between Russian and Iraqi companies had been made on a legal basis: either between the governments of the two countries or within the framework of the UN. The agreements between companies do not contradict international legislation, the minister added.
