Two Persons Die in Train's Collision with Minibus

As a result of a train's collision with a minibus in Sakhalin (the Russian Far East), two persons died and three were injured.

The police of the Sakhalin region said on Tuesday that the incident took place because the driver of the minibus, which carried five persons, started to cross the railway under the red signal. Two local inhabitants died and another three persons, including the driver, were hospitalised.

A criminal case has been launched.

The traffic on the Sakhalin railway, after a short halt, has been resumed.
