PM on transit of Russian oil through Ukraine

Russia and Ukraine are planning to sign an agreement on the volume of transit of Russian oil through Ukraine, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov reported to journalists after a meeting of a joint Russian-Ukrainian commission. According to him, the agreement is currently being considered; elaboration on its draft is to be completed before April 2003.

Kasyanov also reported that by this summer, Russia and Ukraine were to sign a protocol to an agreement on gas supplies and transit through Ukraine for 2004.
