Thailand to Increase Export of Jewelry to Russia

The Thai centre for jewelry production called upon national exporters to expand the delivery of precious metals' and stones' goods to the Russian market.

According to the centre, in 2002 the sale of the Thai jewelry to Russia increased by almost 35 percent, which brought to the country additional incomes to the tune of tens of millions of US dollars.

The Thai experts pointed to the stable growth of consumer possibilities of the Russian jewelry markets and explain this by a noticeable economic growth in the country.

The top officials of the Thai centre called upon the local producers and exporters to work out new strategies to maintain the positions reached and to more deeply penetrate into the Russian regional markets where competitiveness among producers of decorations and jewelry has been increased over the recent years.
