Corporate Management to Be a Key Issue at Russian Economic Forum on London

Corporate management will be a key issue at the Russian economic forum in London, scheduled for March 2nd-4th, Forum Director Simon Joseph announced.

"Corporate culture is interesting for the majority of both Russian and western participants, for almost everyone has unsolved problems in this sphere," he said. The situation on the Russian fuel and energy market as well as its investment opportunities will also be on the agenda. The forum participants will also discuss Russia's economic and social development and Russia's results, achieved in international trade and in attraction of foreign investments.

This year the forum organisers extended the range of issues taking into consideration foreign investors' growing interest in Russia, explained by the Russian good economic indices and political stability in the country, Simon Joseph stressed. This year the forum has also seen an increased geography of both Russian and western business circles, he told RIA Novosti. Russia is expected to send many representatives of the country's business elite and the government. The western side will be represented by a number of businessmen and investors not from Great Britain alone, but also from the USA, Germany and France. In order to increase opportunities for businessmen's participation in discussions, the Forum organisers decided to arrange a number of roundtables.

The London forum "is a good platform for establishing business contacts and conducting detailed negotiations" on cooperation between Russian and western business circles, President of the Mir Vashemu Domu group of companies Vladlen Gotsiridze said in his interview with RIA Novosti.

It is becoming more obvious, that western investors, who have been closely examining the Russian market for quite a long time, have started to change their approaches, according to Gotsiridze.

The recent British Petroleum deal envisaging investment of 6,750,000,000 dollars to the Russian fuel and energy complex proves it.

Gotsiridze believes that after such an extraordinary event in the business world, the forum will create a good background for Russian entrepreneurs and their western partners to discuss new possible investment projects in Russia".
