LUKoil reports net profit in January-September 2002

The net profit of LUKoil according to GAAP dropped from $1.906bn reported for the first nine months of 2001 to $1.347bn in January-September 2002, according to the data published at the oil giant's web site. The company's net profit per share was $1.78 for the reporting period, down from $2.42 against the figure reported for the same period in 2001. The company's profit before taxes declined from $2.525bn to $1.887bn (down 25.3 percent); the oil company's profit from major activities was $2.504bn in January-September 2002 (down 25 percent). LUKoil's sales were $11.033bn, up 6.1 percent from the figure reported in the previous year ($10.395bn), while the company's gross revenues rose 5.8 percent to $11.108bn.
