President Putin: Summit in Kiev Allowed Discussing Economic Prospects of CIS

The informal CIS summit that has just closed in Kiev, Ukraine's capital city, was a very good chance to discuss the prospects of the economic development of the commonwealth. This is according to a Rosbalt reporter quoting the statement Vladimir Putin, Russia's President made today at a press conference during the closing of the event.

President said that the leasers of a number of CIS member countries had received interesting offers during the no-neckties meeting in Kiev. The offers, he said were very interesting and worth listening to, if the economic situation in the CIS was to be enhanced. He also stated that the agreements reached during the summit were fully in the interests of the CIS member countries.
