Cyclone Approaches Kamchatka

The authorities of Kamchatka issued a storm warning as a mighty cyclone began approaching the Kamchatkan coast from the Primorye area. According to Kamchatka's Regional Territorial Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, the cyclone, which gained in force in the area of the Sea of Okhotsk, will approach the Ust-Bolsheretsk district at night and the densely populated districts of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovo, and Vilyuchinsk during the day.

The wind force will reach 20-24 mpsec. The southern districts are in for a spell of snowstorms and icy conditions of roads.
