The Russian government on January 4th adopted a decree on the participation of Russia in the activities of the World Antidoping Agency /WADA/, the Department of State information disclosed on Wednesday. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov signed the decree.
The Russian Foreign Ministry was ordered to confirm in a required form the participation of Russia in activities of the WADA. Certain Federal Ministries and Departments were given proper orders, concerning the organization of interaction between Russia and the Agency.
In particular, the Finance Ministry was charged with allocating assignations from the federal budget's provision "International Activities" into the budget of the Agency as a form of membership fees at a scale, which was set up for the member-countries of the Council of Europe.
