Drugs for Russia and Europe are now concentrated at Afghan-Tajik border

According to the operational information, about 2,000 tons of opium and two tons of heroin are now concentrated at the Afghan-Tajik border. The chief of the Southern Customhouse, Vladimir Belanov, spoke about it at a news conference in Rostov-on-Don on Friday.

According to him, the drug traffickers will try to bring part of the whole consignment to Russia and then to transport the drugs to Europe. The task of the customs officers is not to allow this pernicious substance to cross the border.

In connection with this the Board of the Southern Customs Department met in Rostov-on-Don on Friday to consider the question of closing the channels through which drugs are coming to Russia.
