Moscow interested in cooperation with European Investment Bank

Russia's cooperation with the European Investment Bank is an important step toward forming a single economic space with the European Union, Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said in his opening speech at a parliamentary meeting which addresses, among other issues, a draft agreement on cooperation between Russia and the European Investment Bank. The Prime Minister stressed that "the EU agreement to extend the Bank's activities to Russia, which is not a EU member country, signifies progress in integration processes and the creation of a single economic space in Europe." Mikhail Kasyanov recalled that the European Investment Bank was in charge of long-term investment in infrastructure projects.

Besides, on Thursday the Cabinet will be considering the law on social protection of disabled persons, which, according to Kasyanov, directly addresses the rights of the disabled, including the right to rehabilitation.
