Russian Prime Minister Discusses Aviation Projects with Europe

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov announced on Tuesday at a press conference in Berlin that he had discussed a number of partnership projects for the aviation sector during talks with German business representatives. He added that the most important project was with the European Aerospace Agency. This project involves the manufacture in Russia of components for European aviation systems and requires investment of USD 2.5 billion. The Russian Prime Minister also highlighted a regional aircraft project to be developed together with Dornier. Kasyanov has just completed a two-day visit to Germany.

Commenting on his talks with German business representatives, the Russian Prime Minister said that, in addition to cooperation in the aviation sector, a number of projects related to the production of construction materials, equipment for the energy sector, and the housing sector, were discussed.
