Putin Vows to Carry Its Military Campaign in Ukraine to 'Logical Conclusion'

Putin Reaffirms Russia’s Commitment to Its Military Objectives

Russia will push its military campaign in Ukraine to what President Vladimir Putin calls a "logical conclusion,” reaffirming that Moscow intends to secure all declared objectives.

Putin Repeats Commitment to Completing the Military Campaign

During a meeting of the Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, broadcast by the Kremlin on its Telegram platform, President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia would see its military operation in Ukraine through to the end. According to him, the objectives of the campaign are clearly defined and remain unchanged.

"Without question, we will bring this effort to a logical conclusion and achieve the goals of the special military operation,” he said.

He also stressed that the territories seized from Ukraine are essential to Russia's interests and, as he put it, have always been historically linked to the country.

Russia Claims Initiative on the Front Line

In his remarks, Putin said that Russian forces maintain operational initiative across the entire front. He highlighted recent advances near Krasnoarmeysk (known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk), suggesting that progress in this direction would support the broader set of goals Russia declared at the outset of the campaign.

Earlier statements from the Kremlin emphasized that momentum gained in these regions strengthens Russia's ability to maintain pressure and pursue its long-term strategic objectives.

No Difference Between SVO Combat and Counterterrorism Operations

Separately, Vladimir Putin underlined the need to treat Russian servicemen equally, regardless of whether they fight in the special military operation or under counterterrorism mandates. He argued that the nature of combat in both environments is identical, and that support measures must reflect this reality.

"Combat conditions do not differ between the special military operation and counterterrorism operations. Decisions must be grounded in what happens on the battlefield,” he said.

The president added that bureaucratic formalities should not interfere with delivering support to soldiers "who spare no effort in defending Russia's interests.”

Putin Condemns Evictions of Soldiers' Families

Earlier, Putin called forced evictions of families of servicemen participating in the military campaign "an outrage.” He urged officials to investigate each case individually and ensure that families of deployed personnel receive adequate protection and assistance.

The president also reiterated that Russian servicemen engaged in the campaign are "true heroes,” noting that they operate under exceptionally difficult conditions, including constant encounters with unmanned systems and advanced strike technologies.
