Rosoboronexport's revenues may reach $4bn this year

Total revenues of the Russian arms exporting agency Rosoboronexport are expected to be some $4bn in 2002, Andrey Belyaninov, general director of the company, declared at an Internet press conference organized by RosBusinessConsulting. According to him, this figure corresponds to the amount of 2001 revenues. He pointed out that in 2001 currency revenues of Rosoboronexport amounted to $4.2bn, products totaling $3.2bn were supplied to consumers. This year the company plans to supply products amounting to $3.5bn.

"We expect that we will fulfill our plans, however it will probably be difficult to beat the plans, as the market does not allow such jumps", Belyaninov stressed. He admitted that total revenues would be a bit higher that the sum of revenues from the supplied products ($3.5bn), as they include advance payments for future supplies.
