Beethoven to battle terrorists

A concert dedicated to memory of the Sept.11 tragedy victims will be held in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory

The Sept.11 tragedy in the USA drew, not only political leaders closer in the struggle against terrorism, but joined international artists as well, who are ready to contribute to the anti-terrorism struggle.

The concert dedicated to the Sept.11 tragedy victims will be held in Moscow on September 9. Organizer of the concert Eduard Dyadyura says that the objective of the event is to draw more attention to the serious problem of international terrorism.

The State Academic symphonic orchestra conducted by Kogan, Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Chorus, the Moscow State Academic regional chorus, Russia’s Yurlov Academic Choir, and the famous Russian pianist Denis Matsuyev will take part in the concert. Close to 300 Russian musicians will take part in the event.

Beethoven’s ninth Symphony for the chorus and orchestra, which is to be played at the concert, is very difficult and rarely performed, which is why it will be a nice present for music lovers, the concert organizer says. The best musicians are to perform at the concert, which will make the performance a prominent event in Moscow’s cultural life. However, this is not only a cultural event, it is also a political action that has already drawn the attention of the world community and leaders of international cultural, religious, and political organizations. Eduard Dyadyura says that it is music that can unite people in hard times and inspire us in the struggle against the international terror. Larisa Suetenko PRAVDA.Ru
