Kristall distillery faces executive shake-up

The management of Kristall, a Moscow distillery, has been shifted. At the Board of Directors' meeting held on August 12, 2002 former General Director of the company Alexander Romanov was appointed as the temporary Acting General Director of Kristall. In the meantime, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kristall Yakov Mostinsky said at a press conference today, former executives of the company do not recognize Romanov's appointment as the Acting General Director. Mostinsky was quoted as saying the Board of Directors' meeting, at which Romanov was appointed, was convened illegally, while the signatures of the Board of Directors' members were counterfeited. Additionally, there is a decree of the Moscow cross-municipal court, which imposed a temporary prohibition on convening Board of Directors' meetings of the company, the Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed.
