Cabinet to present amended budget code in 2003

The government is going to introduce an amended budget code to the StateDuma at the beginning of 2003, Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin announced ata briefing today. He noted that the amended budget code would includespecified indices and provide that the budget system fulfilled allfunctions more efficiently, including social guarantees to citizens,mentioned in the Constitution.
