Statistics Committee reports data on energy output

In January-July 2002 504bn kW/hour in electric energy were generated inRussia, a decrease of 1.4 percent from the figure posted in the similarperiod of 2001, the State Statistics Committee reported. The volume ofheating energy generated in Russia in January-July 2002 was 669m GCal, adecrease of 2.5 percent from the figure reported in the similar period oflast year. The total volume of generated electric energy was 1.4 percentlower, while the volume of generated heating energy - 2.4 percent lowerthan the figure of July 2001. .
