Mobile system for city transport control may appear in Moscow

The Sistema Financial Corporation and the Government of Moscow arepreparing a project of building a navigation system to control themovements of city transports. A representative of the joint task group forthe organization of this project reported that the project deadlines andthe general parameters of the navigation system, using the GPS satellitetechnology and the cellular communication network of the MTS company, wouldbe determined in September of this year. The MTS-II company, a subsidiaryof Sistema, will be contracted for the implementation of the technical partof the project. .
