Russian government to discuss monetary policy for 2003

At today's meeting, the Russian government will discuss major lines of thesingle state monetary policy for 2003. As the Government InformationDepartment reported to journalists, Chairman of the Central Bank of RussiaSergey Ignatyev will deliver a corresponding report at this meeting.It is also planned to discuss the medium-term forecast of social andeconomic development of the country for 2003-2005. Russian Economy MinisterGerman Gref will report on this matter.Additionally, the officials are expected to discuss the implementation offederal task programs in 2002 and suggestions for the list and amount ofthe financing of such programs in 2003.
