Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko to meet Wednesday in the Kremlin

A working meeting between the Presidents of Russia and Belarus will take place in the Kremlin on Wednesday. As deputy head of the presidential administration Sergei Prikhodko reported, "it was planned to hold the meeting earlier, but it became impossible because of the working schedules of the two Presidents and the work over the realisation of the previous agreements." Sergei Prikhodko pointed out that after the meeting, which will also be attended by the aides, the two Presidents will meet the press. "This, as was arranged with the Belarussian side, will make it possible for Putin and Lukashenko to answer the questions which interest reporters and in this way to exclude reservations," said the deputy head of the presidential administration. He added that it was not planned to sign any documents, which is confirmed by the working status of the visit.

At the tete-a-tete negotiations and the working breakfast the Presidents "will discuss the questions of building the Union State, important and urgent aspects of deepening integration processes, the work over the Constitutional Act, which is going on but not intensified by either of the sides, and also economic cooperation," said Sergei Prikhodko.

Sergei Prikhodko also said that Vladimir Putin intended to share with his counterpart his views on the international situation and the situation in Europe. "Russia has always been upholding the thesis of the need for expanding Europe's cooperation with Belarus," said Sergei Prikhodko. He also pointed out that Belarus should be integrated into the European space, because sanctions and restrictions in cooperation will not do good to the countries that introduce these sanctions and restrictions."
