Ex-President of SIBUR released on bail

A Moscow local court released former president of SIBUR Yakov Goldovskyfrom pre-trial custody on bail of 20m rubles (about $634,000). Goldovsky isaccused of exceeding his authority, property theft, the use of forgeddocuments and money laundering. The former president of SIBUR was releasedin the courtroom. His attorneys have already presented a receipt on therepayment of a 20-m-ruble bail.According to an attorney, Goldovsky promised to attend all court hearingsin this criminal case against former leaders of SIBUR and not to hamper theinvestigation. Earlier, the defendant said he was interested in finding thetruth.The former president of SIBUR was arrested on January 8, 2002. At theprevious meeting, on August 8, the court released former Vice President ofSIBUR Yevgeny Koshits from custody on bail. He is accused of exceeding hisauthority and money laundering..
