Energy Ministry reports rise in gasoline exports

Exports of gasoline from Russia amounted to 2.2m tons in the first sevenmonths of 2002, thus increasing 28.4 percent as compared to thecorresponding period of 2001, the Russian Energy Ministry reported. Theproduction of gasoline for cars went up 1.9 percent in this period andreached 16.3m tons. Exports of diesel fuel rocketed 26.6 percent to 16mtons in the first seven months of this year versus the corresponding periodlast year. The production of diesel fuel in Russia grew 2.9 percent to30.1m tons..
