Chairman of the Central Election Committee Alexander Veshnyakov proposed to license the activities of PR-structures in Russia.

Problems during the election campaign of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk territory (Siberia) prompted him to immediately take these measures, Veshnyakov told journalists on Friday.

According to him, some PR-structures "have already become dangerous for elections, and this problem should be eliminated".

In addition, it is necessary to introduce amendments into the law on mass media and thus prevent lies and dishonest way of earning money," Veshnyakov said.

The Chairman of the Central Election Committee is currently in Krasnoyarsk in connection with the early elections of the Krasnoyarsk governor, scheduled for September 8th.
