Former SIBUR vice president released on bail

The Gagarinsky court of Moscow decided to release former SIBUR vice president Yevgeny Koshits on a 2m-ruble (about $63,000) bail today. The General Prosecutor's office did not object to releasing him. The court also took into account the fact that Koshits had a permanent lodging, and, as his defense claimed, he would not escape, would not hinder the investigation process and would not press on witnesses. Koshits has not been released yet but it is expected that it will happen soon.

Right after the court's decision was announced, Anatoly Kleymenov, attorney of former SIBUR president Yakov Goldovsky, appealed for releasing his client. The attorney produced the same reasons and proposed a 20m-ruble (about $630,000) bail.
