Australian-Chinese Business

Australia has won a $25 billion contract to supply liquefied natural gas to China. The contract will be worth between $20-25 billion in export income for Australia. North West Shelf venture (Australian company) wiil be the sole supplier of natural gas to Chinese Guangdong province. Under the contract Australian company is to supply 3mln tons of gas annualy during 25 years. It allows to attract an eventual additional investment in a fifth LNG processing train for the North West Shelf facilities on the Burrup Peninsula. The partners in the North West Shelf venture include listed companies Woodside Energy and BHP Billiton's petroleum division as well as BP, Chevron, Japan Australia LNG, and Shell.
